Ocean's Gifts

The oceans bless us with many wondrous and beautiful gifts, like the abalone and the pearl. The abalone is a snail-like creature whose interior shell is lined with swirls of iridescent color. A pearl is formed when a foreign substance invades an oyster shell. Layers of calcium carbonate build up around the foreign object, transforming the "irritant" into a beautiful luminescent pearl. An abalone pendant and pearl beads are featured in this choker style necklace of bugle beads woven in a ladder stitch. Finished with a vintage dragonfly button and beaded loop clasp. The pendant is reversible.

Length: 16 inches (adjustable). Weight: Approx. 1.5 oz. Price: $74.00.
